    This was so great. Long ago someone was saying stuff about Jews and I said, "Well, Jesus was a Jew. And that Bible you read? written by Jews. Well, except the Gospel of Luke." His eyes were wide. But now ... I will never say Jesus was a Jew again - He IS a Jew. Because I knew Jews as a kid and I heard no antisemitic remarks, it is so strange to hear the things I've heard in the past year.

    I forgot what it’s like to have my family happy together. Me and my family are going through financial issues right at the moment but me getting caught up in the middle of it just makes me feel like I have to get put on the stress. My dad is 60 and I want him to retire soon and my mom as well but we barely have any money to pay for bills in general. Court day is coming up in a few months and I’m just delivering messages to everyone. I just want to end it all and just leave this world. This video helped through a little bit of it but I just still want to end it all. I think of ending it every single day and I got close so many times but couldn’t bring myself to it. I’m working for my money and trying to get by in school.

    Russell Moore: The Pete Buttigieg of American Evangelical "Christianity" for his endorsed appearance of Institutionalized Religion's tribute to Ceasar which he renders the things of GOD to that "Peculiar Institution" of the American Christian Establishment's faux allegiance which publicly boasts (The Pharisee and the Tax): "Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else: “Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not like other people-cheaters, sinners, adulterers. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’ Woe is I, saith the "Christian" clergy when the Master shall take a cat-o'-nine-tails and flog them fiercely for their agony of deceit. To that is a wholeheartedly "AMEN!!!"

    If churches don't pay taxes, that'd be fine. As long as they didn't expect the firetruck to pull up when their steeple catches fire, if they didn't want the police to respond when they get robbed or a judge to advocate to in the following preceedings, if they weren't capitalizing on the public roads and sidewalks to get there and back, and they didn't want to tap into the welfare system they refuse to pay into. That'd be fine. But they want to get their cake and eat it too. They want to take it without giving into it. Is THAT what your god wants? Cause it sounds like the opposite to me. The problem isn't that they're tax-exempt. The problem is that they AREN'T being exempt from taxes, only it's costs. It's simply and obviously unfair.

    I've no doubt about the sincerity of Dr. Moore - nor his devotion to Christ our Lord. But as a former Calvinist pastor (after graduating from seminary under the teaching of such as R.C. Sproul and J.I. Packer) I gradually came to see the tragic assumptions of Calvinism. Those assumptions are basically waved away, obscured and covered over - even brushed aside as not really important. But they are fundamentally important because they express what you really, deeply, fundamentally believe about the nature of God as revealed in holy Scripture. To the point: for Calvinists God's *essence* is NOT Love (it is more like raw sovereign power set on one preeminent goal: self-glorification at whatever cost) - and therefore He does NOT [truly or eternally] love all that He has created - even all who are fearfully and wonderfully created in His image - as Acts 17 puts it, "we are ALL His offspring". From this it is easy to develop further [false] beliefs like "limited atonement"... (It is very significant and telling that Calvin in his 2 volume Institutes NEVER quote 1 John, "God is Love".) The "key" (for me) is to understand that there really ARE certain "elect" persons - but Romans 11 reveals that they are "first fruits" - implying there is a fuller harvest to come! Even of the hardened (the non-elect) Paul expressly states that they are NOT beyond hope! " Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all!" (Rom.11:11) - Why? Because "God is able" (v.23) The "elect" are not elect for exclusive salvation - but also for service in bringing in the larger harvest (the fulness of the Gentiles and "all" Israel - Romans 11). Paul only uses the word translated "lump" twice in Romans: 9:21 - "from the same lump vessels of honor and dishonor" AND 11:16 where the *entire lump* is made holy through the election and sanctification of the first fruits. (see Paul speaking in an analogous way of the effect the believing spouse has on the unbelieving spouse and their children: 1 Cor.7:14) The ultimate end and conclusion of Romans 9-11 must be kept in view - God desire to have MERCY ON ALL ❤ "For from Him, and through Him and TO Him are ALL things" Richest Blessings! wayne

    Mr Moore, thank you for this video. I think you did a better job than most, although the main arguments in favour polyamory are sadly not even remotely addressed. Despite clearly having done some due research on the topic, it seems to me that you ultimately built a strawman (polyamorous people "don't believe" in monogamy, polyamory is purely based on instinct and desire, this has only been tried in failed utopian societies and cults) and tore that one down with obvious ease. Still, this is a great start. A misunderstanding of what polyamory is can evolve into a back and forth, where statistics, stories, and perspectives can be shared and discussed to hopefully help understand what is happening in the real world, what can be avoided, what works, and what we can learn from a topic as complex and multifaceted as this. I understand if you don't intend on revisiting this topic with a more nuanced lens on your channel, I see you haven't posted in a while, either. I would recommend, however, to try to engange in conversation about this topic with people who are more intimately familiar with it. Regardless of it changing your mind or not on the matter, I feel like reaching a more accurate understanding of such a growing practice should be a prerequisite to presenting one's opinion on it.

    No one says, “I was raised in a Christian house.” Why? Because there’s no such thing. Some people are raised in a Christian home - but not a house. In the same way, there’s no such thing a “Christian nation.” There are Christian people (and, yes, even Christian societies). But arguing whether or not our country (or any country) is a “Christian nation” is like arguing whether or not you drive a “Christian car.” People are Christians. Nations are not.

    Someone asked what Isaiah 9:6 was about... here is the verse - with explanation below. Isaiah 9:6 (NIV) For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Explaination: INSIDE of a person is a 'woman' - the 'one flesh' that God 'created' (NOT the 'man' that LORD GOD 'formed', then separated, and advised should be joined BACK together again, as what GOD has 'joined together' let man not separate). As GOD created man as MALE AND FEMALE, created them 'he' - and called their name... 'Adam'. God's creation of man was 'androgynous' or 'male AND female'. And thus... it is what COMES OUT of a MAN that defiles him. Thus... one should be able to see 'the WOMAN' of Revelation 12. IF this 'woman' inside of you does what is GOOD in the eyes of GOD, the FRUIT of that choice is then 'male' - and acceptable to GOD and taken into HEAVEN. BUT... if the 'woman' inside of you does what is EVIL in the eyes of GOD, the FRUIT is then a 'female', 'daughter of man', and another 'woman' or 'seed bearer'... which is then another 'opportunity' for something to come of it, but then it is NOT a 'first fruit' and NOT ACCEPTABLE to GOD. THIS is also (spiritually)... the 'VIRGIN BIRTH' as it DOES NOT require 'physical union' to produce FRUIT, or to say... THE WORD MADE (into) FLESH. This is what Jesus was referring to when He spoke with Nicodemus... or being BORN of WATER & SPIRIT, and also what is referred to with Mary (Jesus mother) AND ALSO, why Jesus is called - 'the Word', as it is the COMMAND of GOD through which everything that has been made or will ever BE MADE... is made. Note that the daughters of man, became 'evil' spirits upon the earth... and thus 'spirit give birth to spirt' is then true. Flesh gives birth to flesh is simple to understand - as this is an 'earthly thing' vs. and lacks the complexities of 'heavenly things'.

    You are sort of right, but at the same time cannot expect public policy to go against the will of the people. Making abortion illegal nationwide without a cultural shift will be as great a failure as Prohibition, especially since there is probably a smaller portion of the electorate that supports outlawing abortion than that who supported Prohibition.

    Early Christianity had unicorns, virgin birth, half man - half Gods, gnosticism, resurrection, winter solstice celebration, and influence from Hellenistic mystery religions... hmm, cherry pick whatever you can salvage from this train wreck of a religion.

  • @CoolhandLukeSkywalkr
    @CoolhandLukeSkywalkr 11 місяців тому

    The virgin birth is a Greco-Roman pagan concept that was added into Christianity because the jews were Hellenistic. It was also based on a bad translation of the Hebrew text in the Septuagint. None of the earliest writings about Yeshua mentioned the virgin birth. Its not mentioned in the oldest gospel. It was added in the Gospel of Luke to make the religion more appealing to Hellenistic jews and Romans. There was no virgin birth in Christianity until around 85AD. The virgin birth story was made up 50 years after Yeshua was put to death. Earlier sources mention that his father was Joseph. Also, if Joseph wasn't his father, then hes not of the house of David.

    Well, in modern times, there are reasons behind setting up churches or converting to mosques. 🤑🤑 And what good can one expect, with those Jeebus houses using tax-payer moneys to fund anti-LGBT propaganda? While taxing religion is effective for curing mental illness, conditions exist, shall the tax be used in good ways. Funding military-industrial complex for oil is definitely a no-go zone.
